Well my brother just shared this with me. We lived next door to “Uncle Bill and Aunt Alice”
In the sixties. Lots of great memories. My brother Rich said uncle Bill taught him how to drive. We were also a merged family like the Brady bunch. We would love to attend a memorial when it happens. Karen Antrim (Forrest). Sometimes I take a drive past our homes on Wayne Drive. We really loved Uncle Bill.
Bill loved his music! I attended Stetson jazz concerts with he and Lillian at the fabulous Athens theatre in Deland. Loved watching Bill play the "air" drums and hear him sing along with the musicians on stage. He knew how to have fun!! I will miss him....
We lived next to the Dutch Wagon Market and Bill and his family put their heart and soul into creating a Medford Landmark. Although we have all left the area and the Market has changed drastically, the Schofield’s will always have fond memories of those early days. Rest easy Bill and our thoughts and prayers are with entire family.
Pop-Pop, I will always remember Christmas mornings, money on my dresser if my room was clean, jitterbug dancing, playing games, endless support, encouragement and love. And how could I ever forget the time you told the referee he didn’t deserve his pay check after one of my basketball games! It’s an honor being your granddaughter. Love you always. Forever my favorite dance partner!
Bill was one of the kindest sweetest man I have ever met. When I lost my husband, Lil and Bill never left me out of any dinner or party. It was such a blessing at that time to be included. Bill was my go to when I needed help or advice. We had so much fun at garage sales he was our organizer and Money Man. When my son passed away I had to have an immediate estate sale and Bill and Lillian were right there to help me. I must say it was chaos, but, Bill was the calm one in the chaos and we got through it. I could go on and on but, he was a dear friend and a special example of what a gentleman should be. He was such a blessing and a wonderful husband to Lillian. He will be missed! “God Bless”. Joy Pavone
