Jose Miguel Serrano's Obituary
Jose M. Serrano 66, of Deltona passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2017. He was born on July 3, 1950 in Isabela, Puerto Rico to parents, Miguel and Luz Serrano. Jose is survived by his wife, Judith Cartagena-Serrano; Children, Vivian, Zaira and Jose Serrano, Beverly Flores and Sabrina Quinones; Mother, Luz Serrano; Brother, Nelson Serrano; Sisters, Margarita and Mercedes Serrano, Lourdes Cortez and Luz Serrano; 9 Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father Miguel Serrano. Jose served in the United States Navy and was a retired Police Officer for New York, New Jersey Port Authority Police Department. He was a member of LAMA (motorcycle association) and enjoyed karaoke, fishing, traveling, cooking, karate (black belt), playing guitar, poetry, writing music and spending time with family. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 31, 2017 6pm-8pm with a 10 am Funeral Service on Monday, April 3, 2017 officiated by Deacon Luis Baez at Baldauff Family Funeral Home, Orange City, Florida 32763. Graveside services Monday, April 3, 2017 12:30pm at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery. Donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
