Doug helped me get my first job at a restaurant in a retirement community where he was a caretaker. When the residents found out Doug was my uncle, they’d tell me endless stories of how he cared for them or their loved one in their most vulnerable times. How he treated them like they were family when some of them had none of their own, and was somehow always able to make them laugh. Everyone that was lucky enough to know him can agree that we’ll never meet someone like him again, and he will be dearly missed.
