Angelo "Jungle" Garavalia...worked for Moroni-Johnson Funeral Home in Herrin, Illinois from 1937 - 1990. Growing up at my family's funeral home, Angelo taught me to always do the right thing and give my best effort, whether it was embalming, running ambulance service or helping people heal through their time of sorrow.

In our small hometown, everyone knew him as "Jungle"—a nickname he earned after serving in the jungle during World War II. His reputation was built on his big heart, easy-going manner, and a genuine love for people. Angelo embodied the qualities of the "Greatest Generation": loyalty, honesty, sincerity, kindness, morality, and a tireless work ethic. His word was his bond and liking him came as naturally as breathing.

As people in Southern Illinois used to say about a man like Angelo, "He was a good egg." He treasured his profession, and I strive every day to follow his example. As he demonstrated, men do what is right, while boys do what they want.

No one Locally has more complete facilities and service than we do. We provide service – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, others do not. We do things differently. We pride ourselves on cleanliness, honesty and service. 

We do not cut corners. We are available 24 hours a day-we will be with you every step of the way, to everyone else it’s purely a job, all they want to do is go home at 5:00 and forget about you and your needs.

Our pricing reflects what we have to offer, and their pricing reflects what they have to offer. Not all Cremation services are created Equally, Do not be fooled by a cheap imitation.

We are clearly different - 3 Simple words describe what we do, everyone is treated respectfully, gently, carefully.

We have a crematory on our premises...in a dignified, proper setting not in a warehouse or industrial park...as most others are many miles away...in Rockledge or Daytona Beach.

Others may mislead you, have hidden charges, gimmicks or will give you half the truth. We want to caution you, because it’s one of the most important decisions you will ever make. You deserve to know the care you receive is never outsourced, as all the others use a 3rd party to transport and cremate, they never see the body. You must take their word the ashes are your family. That’s what sets us apart. Again, we offer premium service as we do everything in house. We have high standards and strong values. There is a big difference.
