Yolanda Carmela Josephine Quaranta Caldwell's Obituary
Yolanda Carmela Josephine Quaranta Caldwell, 85, of Deltona, passed away Monday, January 21, 2013, at Florida Hospital in Orlando after complications following open heart surgery. Daughter of the late Michale Quaranta, Sr., and Adelaide Russo, she was born and raised in Greenwich, Conn. Married to the late George Caldwell for 47 years upon his death in 1996. Yolanda and her family moved to Deltona in 1967 after a career of 22 years in the military.
Yolanda was an active member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church where she spent a large majority of her time volunteering and holding office in the CCW, Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, American Legion and the Red hat Society. She also donated her time at the St. Vincent DePaul Society, Alter Society, Office Angel, and Minister of the Sick and as a Eucharistic Minister. Yolanda was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend as well as an angel to all.
She is survived by her brother Silvio Quaranta, Ft. Lauderdale; her sister-in-law, Katherine Quaranta, Greenwich, Conn.; four daughters, Georgene Sisk, Sibley, Mo. (Phil), Cindy Bonaccorsy, Palm Coast, FL (John), Addie Atkins, Gainesville, FL (Michael); and a son, Michael G. Caldwell, Deltona, FL (Kathy). She leaves behind six grandchildren, Jennifer Elder, Kristi Sisk, Julia Bonaccorsy, Steven Atkins, Tracy and Travis Caldwell; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all. Viewing will be held at Baldauff Funeral Home between 2-5 pm, Friday, January 25, 2013 with a rosary said at 3 pm. Funeral mass is at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Our Lady of The Lakes Catholic Church, Interment to follow at Deltona Memorial Gardens.
