Wanda JoAnne Benedict's Obituary
Wanda JoAnne Benedict, 71, of DeBary, FL passed into Heaven with her husband Jerry M. Benedict on Thursday, December 12, 2013. Wanda was born September 2, 1942 in Baltimore, Maryland to parents John F. Byrd and Ada Mae Cox-Byrd. She moved to Florida as a teenager, married and had two children: Tina and Max. Wanda lived in Europe for about 20 years. She was a member of the Community United Methodist Church in DeBary. She volunteered for Hospice, was a member of Red Hats, Bunko, choir and enjoyed life to its fullest with her children and grandchildren (Natashya, Alexis, and Faith).
Wanda enjoyed sewing, gardening, crafting, decorating, travelling, reading, shopping, and talking about Europe and Martin Marietta. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Methodist Children’s Home in Enterprise. She was preceded in death by her husband: Jerry M. Benedict
Survived by children: Tina Rios-Beshara and Max Benedict; grandchildren: Natashya Rios, Alexis Beshara and Faith Benedict; brother: Rodney (Audrey) Byrd; sisters: Eileen (Lundy) Hill and Freda (Robert) LaGrone.
There will be a memorial service 11:00 AM Friday, December 20, 2013 at Community United Methodist Church, 41 W Highbanks Rd, DeBary, FL 32713 with Pastor Lisa Degrenia officiating.
