Thomas (Tom) Edward Dalton's Obituary
Thomas (Tom) Edward Dalton 83, of DeBary, Florida passed away peacefully, Tuesday, February 15, 2022, with family by his side.
Tom was born November 22, 1938, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He was the son of Roy & Elva Dalton, and loving husband of 60 years to Carol (Grover) Dalton.
After graduating from Titusville High School, Tom was an apprentice mortician until he was drafted by the Army in March 1962. Following 6 years of service, he worked at Kennedy Space Center for TWA, after which he spent the next 40 years with two companies in Orlando as Warehouse Manager. He retired in 2006.
Tom was very active in the Presbyterian Church, serving as an Elder and Youth Leader, with his wife, for 10 years. He was a passionate member and Chair of the Operations Committee. Tom also served as a Girl Scout co-leader for several years and helped with many activities of the troop. He was a trusted friend and willing to help others whenever he could. He loved serving the Lord in this way.
Tom is survived by his wife, Carol, two daughters, Michelle Carothers and husband, Mike, of Seminole, Fl and Mindy Scappaticcio and husband, Mark of DeBary, Fl and grandson, Dalton Meredith of DeBary, Fl, a sister-in-law, nieces and nephews in Georgia and many other relatives in North Carolina.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held June 11, 2022, 11:00 am at College Park Presbyterian Church, 118 E. Par Street, Orlando, Florida 32804.
