Telisna Senatus' Obituary
With heavy hearts and deep love, that our family announces the passing of our beloved matriarch, Telisna Senatus, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and faithful servant of God, who departed this life in July 2025 in Deltona, Florida, at the age of 71.
Telisna was born in Saint Louis Du Nord, Haiti, in December 1954, to parents, Occienest Fenelus and Dorvina Fenelus. She grew up with strong values rooted in faith, family, and hard work — principles that guided her life and inspired all who knew her.
Telisna shared over 50 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Florentin Senatus. Together, they had six kids and built a home filled with love, devotion, and faith. A dedicated business owner and community member, Telisna was also a proud and active member of the Church of Beraca La Point, where she found great joy in worship, singing in church services, and serving others through her faith.
She was a woman of many talents and passions, Telisna loved cooking hearty meals for her family, tending to her vibrant garden, and filling her home with the warmth of music and prayer. Her greatest pride, however, was her family. She was a devoted mother to six children and a loving grandmother to twelve grandchildren, each of whom carries her legacy of kindness, strength, and grace.
Telisna's life was a testament to love, perseverance, strength and unwavering faith. Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
She will be deeply missed by her husband; Florentin Senatus, her children; Fleurette, Evens, Ernst, Fritz, Erna and Wildy; 12 grandchildren; sisters, Vercilia, Engelina, Junide and Mireille; brothers, Luc, Willy, and Nives; as well as extended family, church community, and friends that will miss her dearly.
Telisna is preceded in death by her parents, Occienest Fenelus and Dorvina Fenelus; and brother, Joel Fenelus.
We honor her memory with gratitude and peace, knowing she now rests in the arms of the Lord.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.” – Matthew 25:23
