Sia Christine Yorker's Obituary
Remembering Sia
June 21st, 2011, with her family by her side at Halifax Hospital, Daytona Beach, Florida, Sia Christine Yorker was called home to be with the Lord.
July 15th, 1991, Sia was born at Bethesda Naval Medical Hospital, Bethesda, Maryland.
Sia loved her God, and for the past 11 years was an active member at the Gathering Place Worship Center (TGP). Sia was a magnet and loved being around children, thus she served in the TGP Nursery and often served as a volunteer in the community.
Sia attended Deltona Lakes Elementary school where she fondly served as a reporter for the school television program and also enjoyed working as a hall patrol monitor. While attending Galaxy Middle School she participated as a vocalist for the school chorus. During her tenure at Pine Ridge High School she mentored many, was an active member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and became the soccer team captain. Sia aspired to become a pediatric doctor and attended University of North Florida and later Seminole State College.
Sia loved taking pictures and was often found with a camera in her hand. She also loved sports, fashions-shopping (High Heel Shoes), theatre, beaches, traveling, all types of music and spending time with family and friends.
Although Sia will be missed, she is loved by her parents Albert & Paula Yorker, brothers, Randal (Sister in Law-Carmen), Nayabu (Sister in Law-Tokunbo) & Jason.
Uncle Donald, Curtis(Aunt Neda), Leroy, Wallace & Melvin (Aunt Melisa) Aunt Maxine (Uncle Tommy), Aunt Rosetta and Aunt Dale. Sia will also be missed by a host of loving Nephews, Nieces, Cousins and Friends.
Sia has now been reunited with her brothers, Jerome and Brock.
Family will be receiving friends on (Fri.) July 1, 2011 from 5-8 at the Baldauff Family Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held (Sat.) July 2, 2011, 10 AM at The Gathering Place, 1701 S. Orange Blvd. Sanford, FL, 32771. Burial to be at the Deltona Memorial Gardens.
