Shirley Marie Roach 87 of Deltona passed away March 11, 2017. She was born April 29, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois to Louis Addison and Elizabeth (nee Hullinger) Friedberg.Shirley is survived by her husband, Junior Glee Roach; children, Louis Perkins (Patricia) of Altamonte Springs, Florida, Linda Bridgwater (James) of Lynwood, Illinois, Roy Perkins of St. Cloud, Florida, Loren Roach (Tracy) of Ft. Worth, Texas; grandchildren, Jamie Bridgwater of Illinois, Charles Roach of Texas, Hannah (James) Flagg (nee Roach) of Texas, and great grandchild, Armour Flagg.Shirley is preceded in death by her parents; half-brother, Earl Friedberg of Wyoming; daughters, Joyce Perkins of Illinois, and Susan Perkins of Illinois.In her youth, Shirley was a vaudevillian acrobat and dancer. Shirley was an artist working in oil, watercolor and glass. After her stroke in 1973, Shirley continued to paint in oil. She and her husband Glee moved to Deltona after his retirement in 1988.
