Sandra Patricia Ketterman's Obituary
In Memory of Sandra Patricia Ketterman
On August 6, 2012, Sandra left to be reunited with her husband Raymond and daughter Alice in Heaven. Born March 10, 1941 to Virginia and Olen Lowery of Easton Maryland, she grew up enthusiastic and eager to ride horses and dance ballet. Sandra was a strong, amazing and worldly woman who loved life. She knew no strangers and would smile to provoke happiness in the times of despair. She lived and travelled all over the world as a military spouse and with the US Air National Guard as a civil servant. Sandra achieved the distinguished assignment at the Pentagon as a Financial Analyst Liaison and retired in 2003. She moved to Deltona Florida to be in the Sunshine state. She absolutely loved spending time with her family, countless friends, “sweet-peas” and two dogs. To her this was the like being at the beach, the warm feeling of the sun shining on her cheeks and feeling the ocean breeze blowing through her hair. Her hobbies consisted of hand crafting butterflies from plastic and copper, teaching her friends how to macramé wine bottles and riding her scooter to the community mailbox with her faithful dogs and companions Chance and Penny saying hello to all of her neighbors with a smile on her face even though she knew the battery light was blinking. She was very unselfish and simply wanted to make everyone she came into contact with feel loved.
Sandra will greatly be remembered and missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her 4 children Leslie, Keith, Christina, Brian, 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Keep smiling Mom, we love you and know you are looking down upon us!
