Rosemarie B Provancher's Obituary
Rosemarie Barra Provancher, 76, of Orange City FL, passed away peacefully on October 8th 2015 after a long and brave struggle with multiple sclerosis. She was born in New Haven, CT on September 5th, 1939 to Nicholas and Alice Barra. She was the eldest of four children and graduated from Hillhouse High School. She was married to her husband Hank for 57 years at the time of her death. She is survived by her husband, daughter Pam Provancher, granddaughter Ashley Martinez, grandson Mark Provancher Jr., great granddaughter Giana, great grandson Mark III. She is also survived by her brothers Nicholas and Donald Barra and sister Dolores VanDermaelen. She is predeceased by her son Mark Joseph Provancher who passed away March 24th, 2009. She was a very strong woman in life and in death. She asked that there be no memorial service for her, but to take her from the hospital to her family home one last time so she could be with her family and friends. She attended her own memorial service where she told each and every person that was there how much she loved them. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her whole world. She explained that Gigi would be going to heaven to be with God and would always be with them. In her final days she showed extreme strength and dignity. After returning home she was taken to hospice in Orange City where she died at peace and pain free. Baldauff Funeral Home will be handling her cremation.
