Aunt Rose was a stern firm presence of love. She stood for what was right. One thing I remember when I was a child she taught me was paper towel was for hands Kleenex was for faces & toilet paper was for bottoms.
I am beyond grateful for the special relationship she had with my oldest daughter. Bri was her Peachy Pooh. Whenever she visited from Florida she would always take Brianna out and pour into her. Made sure she knew how special she was and she always had someone in her corner.
One conversation that comes to my remembrance. Her and I were talking about prayer. She was telling me how she prayed for people that had transitioned and every one that was connected to them. She talked about not knowing if she should change it up because some of the people she named by name had went home to glory. We decided that it was ok to still call them by name because GOD knew all the people they were connected to them that loved them and she wanted to be sure they were included in her wish for them to be blessed. That resonates with me today. Of cousins I am praying for my Uncle Larry, my cousins Maria & Tammy but I also want to include everyone that my Aunt Rose came in contact with, everyone she loves and all that loved her. My GOD comfort and may we be reminded of the things she taught us, how she loved us and how we are to carry ourselves with class at all times.
