Roland Daniel Dresser's Obituary
Dresser, Roland Daniel “Peanut”, 74, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 in Orange City, FL. He was born on October 12, 1939 in Jefferson, NH to parents Roland Earl and Florence (Reed) Dresser. Roland married Elsie Hopps on June 17, 1960 in Groveton, NH.
Mr. Dresser retired from Wausau Papers in Groveton, NH after 39 years as a pipe fitter. He attended schools in Lancaster, NH. He retired from the Army National Guard after 28 years and owned and operated Dresser MKT in Berlin, NH for several years. He was a member of American Legion, Moose Club, and Sanford Masonic Lodge.
Mr. Dresser’s hobbies included: pitching horseshoes, golfing, going to Brian’s BBQ and Shady Oaks Restaurant with his friends from Paradise Lakes R.V. Park in Deltona; he enjoyed breakfasts at Denny’s on Sunday mornings with his family, watching Red Sox ball games with his grandson and daughter-in-law, Denise and The Voice with son Shawn and family.
He was preceded in death by father: Roland Earl Dresser; mother: Florence Reed and brother: Alden Dresser.
Survived by wife: Elsie Dresser; son: Shawn Dresser; daughter-in-law: Denise Dresser; grandson: Matthew Dresser; brother: James Dresser (Old Orchard Beach, ME); and sisters: Janice Dean (Littleton, NH), Harriet Hill (Lisbon, NH), and Judy Webb (Manchester NH).
Arrangements entrusted to Baldauff Family Funeral Home, Orange City, FL. Services will be held at a later date.
