Roger Neil Peden SR.'s Obituary
Roger Neil Peden Sr., age 70, went to be with the lord early Monday morning on January 18, 2010 at
Central Florida Regional Hospital. Roger was born to Anna Mae and William L. Peden on April 27 1939 in Norwalk, Connecticut. He was a member of the United States Marine Corps and was a Buck Sergeant. He was a Master plumber and owned his own business of Peden Plumbing and Heating. He later moved to DeBary, Florida with his wife, Barbara and two children, Kim Ellen and Roger Neil Peden Jr. He was Superintendent for S.I. Goldman Mechanical Contractors and then for Disney's engineering department before he retired. He loved cruising with Barbara, cooking, fishing, and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed visiting with his friends in his garage lounge. Roger genuinely cared about everyone he met. He was always trying to build them up with words of encouragement and he was always there to help anyone in need. Roger attended Deltona Alliance Church, which he dearly loved. He is survived by his wife Barbara of 49 years. Two children: Kim Ellen Chester of Orange City, and son Roger N. Peden Jr. and his wife Lisa Ann of DeBary. Sisters: Virginia Kerekes of Melbourne, Fl, Marilyn Oravez of Norwalk, Ct and Donna Nolan of Firestone, Co. Brothers: Francis "Putt " , William L. Jr. and Robert A. Peden and sister Shirley Cameron preceded him in death. Also surviving are grandchildren: Kaylee Renee Chester of Orange City, Shelby Nicole, Drew William & Nathan Hunter Peden of DeBary and first Great Granddaughter of 10 weeks Emmy Maddyson Chester of Orange City. Viewing for friends and family will be at Baldauff Family Funeral Home Orange City on Thursday from 5-8 PM. On Friday There will be a memorial service held at Deltona Alliance church on Deltona Blvd at 7 PM. We invite anyone who wishes to share their thoughts, pictures or stories with the family
