Robert A Robison's Obituary
Robert Andrew Robison, 93, passed away peacefully at Halifax Hospice on January 5th, 2021.
Born in Warren, Ohio on December 7th, 1927, the son of George and Ella Robison, both deceased.
Bob was a graduate of Warren G Harding High School and THE Ohio State University with a Master’s Degree in Physical Education in 1959. Bob served in the United States Army thru 1947 and was awarded the World War II Victory Medal.
He is survived by his wife and high school sweetheart Gerry and 4 children. Gloria (Gary), Ed (Anne), Judy (Dave) and Brian (Claire). Also survived by Brother Ray (Helen) and Sister Carolyn Williams. He was preceded in death by Brother John (Bones) Robison and Donald (Chiefy) Robison.
He was known as Pop-Pop to his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Bob started out coaching high school basketball in Ohio and has been coaching ever since. Bob also retired from AMF Bowling. A longtime member of Deltona Alliance Church, he sang in the choir and was a past president of the Prime Timers Club.
Bob excelled in all sports in high school. He was an avid bowler and golfer, literally his entire life. Bob was a jigsaw puzzle master and enjoyed all types of card games.
Bob was a great husband, father, friend, teacher, coach and touched many lives. He was competitive and inspirational…he will be missed by all who knew him.
Memorial Service will be held at Deltona Alliance Church, Saturday January 9th, 2021 at 3PM.
