Robert Nils Classon's Obituary
Bob was born in Hartford, Connecticut and learned his trade as an Auto Body Man.
Moved to Miami, Florida in 1975. Worked as an Auto Body Man in Miami Beach until he opened his own shop known as Perfection Auto Body in Miami from 1980-1986. He gave up the shop because he worked 24/7 giving up too much of life. He closed the shop and worked for Craftsman Auto Body. At this time he started getting into stock car racing at the local tracks. Mostly at Hialeah Speedway. He really enjoyed racing. In 1996 he moved to Central Florida where he could race at different tracks. He lived in Deltona, Florida. He had a lot of different tracks to race at but finally settled at New Smyrna Speedway. Bob again opened his own shop after coming to Central Florida. He had just a small shop, but again after 3 years gave up the shop due to working all the time. In 1999 went to work for Elite Transfers. His final job! As time goes by, he gave up racing, (got to be to expensive.) Bob got a cook book by Chef Paul of Louisiana for Christmas. From that day forward, he had a new love. He loved spicy foods and got a lot of people to like the same. He also cooked all meals from that day forward, (lucky me.) Bob also loved cooking for other people & read a lot of cook books. Always something new. Bob always gave his all, no matter what he was doing. He had to be the best. If someone needed his help, he would help. Bob felt sorry for things he did in the past. Things he couldn't face as a young man. He always hoped someday he could redo them. Never again did he not face up to life and handle everything that was thrown at him. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; sons, James and Steven of Connecticut;
3 grandchildren, Courtney, Joshua and Matthew; and sister, Linda Classon.
