James Waldo
Almost ten years... it has taken me ten years to get past that night. Ten years without you. This past ten years are what you spent the first 18 of mine preparing me for! All of that hard work we completed side by side. All of the physical and mental trials you pushed me through. All of the grief I gave you and how much I complained at the time. Little did I even begin to know what you were preparing me for. While there have been ups and downs in our relationship throughout my teen years I always loved you. My Saturday mornings always start the same. The same as they always started when you were around. I wake up early enjoy the beautiful sunshine over a cup of coffee (not black like yours) followed by getting the kids up to help with our chores around the house. When doing so the memories of all of our Saturday projects and surprise area beautification jobs flow through my mind. Upon completion of our jobs there are always rewards for a job well done! For myself it is a stress free beautiful property that my neighbors love and I can be proud of. And for my children they get to play on and are rewarded with trips to the splash pad or on our boat! My life since your passing has been a rollercoaster. Left home started a family joined the army got a dog moved to Washington state to live on an army installation. My family is made up of my beautiful wife April marie whom I know you would have loved deeply. shes smart kind and whitty. Ava grace now 7 she is a spitting image of little kassi and ofcourse spunky as all get up smart and she drives me crazy. Jackson robert is 4 his life is trains and he loves mechanical stuff hes a clone of little me! Hes loving, kind and playfull. They ask about you often! I share all of the photos stories and cheesy jokes you shared with us as kids. I see you in them.your smiles your warm hugs your crazy laugh and hilarious personality! Thanks to you and all you have taught me I will pass it down to them and as myself they wont ever meet an obstacle they cant navigate. And they will forever carrie the can do attitude you rubbed off on me! Thanks to you nothing is impossible!
Ten years... and counting
I'll see you later down the road in the mirror!
Love you old man!
