He was always "up" and so happy.Always sharing his funny stories and making us laugh. Like his brother Gerard, he always put his family first.A most admirable quality!He was well loved and will be sorely missed!

Dear Aunt Joanne, Cousins John, Karen and Rob and their families:
I'm so sorry to hear the news that Uncle Bobby passed away. He was such a sweet and wonderful man. He was always smiling, and he had a kind heart and genuinely cared about everyone. When I was young, I was "over-the-moon" whenever Mom told me we would be visiting you in Bellingham. I loved to be around my relatives, and especially Uncle Bobby. I viewed him as a great role model, and he was a lot of fun to be around and play with. In my humble opinion, if ever there was a soul meant for Heaven, it is his. May he rest in peace.

A poem for my Dad ...
"Sea Fever" by John Masefield
I must go down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky,
And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by,
And the wheel's kick and the wind's song and the white sail's shaking,
And a grey mist on the sea's face, and a grey dawn breaking.
I must go down to the seas again, for the call of the running tide
Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied;

As I remember uncle Bob, special thoughts that have been locked away in my heart forever begin to emerge and stir emotion. I remember when Linda and I were very young, uncle Bobby would visit frequently and he seemed, always, to have some little gift for us to let us know he was thinking of us. At the time of course, being children, we just though it was cool that he would bring us stuff. As Linda and I are several years older than our cousins, uncle Bob didn’t have any children of his own back then. He was fortunate though, to have us around to practice on in preparation for that fateful day when he would become a dad himself. I remember the time he brought us coloring books, glitter, oh yeh, and “glue” when we were bed ridden with the chicken pocks. It was an ugly site. I’m sure my Mom wasn’t exactly thrilled with the prospect of the clean up. As I sit here and write this though, I realize that seeds of love that were planted so many years ago have bloomed into precious memories. I thank God for my uncle Bob and the blessings we received through him. He treated us like were his own children. Take the time to love while we’re able. The days are not guaranteed for any of us.
God’s eternal and selfless love and peace to all who are feeling the the weight of uncle Bob’s passing.
We are so sad to hear of Uncle Bobby's passing. Please know our thoughts & prayers are with your family. Uncle Bobby was Dan's godfather and he has wonderful memory's of him.
I am so sorry for your loss. I have some wonderful memories of Uncle Bobby and know that he will be missed terribly. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family.

Bob "Grampy" has meant so much to our family. He was there for us when we needed him when we first moved to Florida and treated my kids like they were his grandkids. He will be missed. Joanne, John, Rob & Karen are in our prayers. Along with all of Bob's family. Love to all.
