Bruce M. Jordan
I started school with Dick in Sub-Primary in the little Red Brick Schoolhouse in Cumberland Center and graduated with him from Greely Institute in 1954. Although we did not keep in touch as much as we should have after school, I have many fond memories that Dick, Chris Crandall and I had growing up. I remember when the lst day of April came it meant the 1st day of fishing and Dick, Chris and I would skip school to fish the local brooks. Dicks mother and mine would write notes that we were sick that day, However poor Chris's father was principle of the high school so Chris usually had to spend a week after school. By the way we usually caught our limit the 1st day. Dick, Chris and I used to go up to the dump and collect beer and liquor bottles and stored them in Dicks mothers shed on the second floor. Well this collecting went on until the second floor collapsed under the weight of the bottles. Needless to say Dick's mother was not too pleased. What a mess! We had to take all the bottles back to the dump. What a job. I could go on for hours telling stories about growing up with Dick. I am sorry that I did not get to know his sons Rick and Jeff. You had a great dad, guys. I had so many great times growing up with your dad. All for now, Bruce Jordan
