Richard Conway's Obituary
Rich or Dick to family and friends, passed away on December 16, 2023 at 81 years. Rich was born on June 14, 1942 to Margaret and Gilbert Conway in Brooklyn, New York growing up with brother, Gil and sisters, Anne and Joann on Long Island, New York. He joined the Air Force in 1962, serving time in Kadena AFB, Okinawa, Japan and Andrews AFB, Washington DC, where he was educated and worked in electronics and cryptographic. His professional life was spent in the field of electronics with various companies, either in customer support or management. Rich was married to Alexandria-Sandy-McAuley on October 13, 1968. They had two wonderful children, Kristin (Chuck) and Todd. Six Grandchildren: Corey, Keegan, Megan, Maddie, Kylie, and Caroline. He is also survived by sisters, Ann (Eddie) and Joann. Nieces and nephew: Maureen, Bobbie, Carol, Michele, Nicole and their families. He lived in New York, California and the last 42 years in Florida. Loved classic cars, both restoring and owning. He enjoyed air shows, photography, helping others, and spending time with family. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at the Baldauff Family Funeral Home 1233 Saxon Blvd. Orange City, Florida. Visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00PM with service starting at 1:00PM. A reception will follow at Sparrows Grille, Azalea Room, in Victoria Park. All are invited to spend time with family and friends to honor and celebrate Richard's life.
