Richard Alexander's Obituary
Richard Alexander, 69, passed away November 24, 2018 from pancreatic cancer at home surrounded by his family.
Rich was born December 10, 1948 in Ottumwa, Iowa, the son of Clarence and Marcella Alexander. Rich served in the U.S. Naval Reserve in Vietnam. He attended Iowa State University graduating in 1975 with a degree in Civil Engineering. Rich was a Vice President with Hammes Co., a healthcare consulting firm, of Brookfield, WS.
Known as G-Daddy to his two very special grandsons, Hunter and Cody, Rich enjoyed coaching and umpiring youth baseball, fly fishing, hiking, scuba diving, biking and traveling abroad and he was an avid skier. Rich was also an accomplished musician, having been inducted into the Iowa Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2009.
Rich is survived by his wife of 48 years, Corinne, sons Richard Jr. (wife Stephanie), Nicholas (wife Monica), grandsons Hunter and Cody, Sister Jeanenne Tucker, brother-in-law Jim Scheetz (wife Ruth) and nephews Steve, Jesse, Sam and nieces, Angie, Caite, and Robin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Marcella Alexander and one sister, Deanna
Cremation will be accorded by Baldauff Family Funeral and Crematory in Orange City, Florida. A celebration of life will be held at a later date by family and friends.
