Raymond R Winkler's Obituary
Today we honor, celebrate, and remember Raymond R Winkler. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and patriot. His kindness and bravery left a mark in everyone's heart who came across his path in life. Born to Otto and Matilda Winkler on August 6, 1932. Raised in Caledonia, MN and graduated Loretto High School in 1950 and then pursued his dream to serve in the US Air Force. He had 20 years of distinctive service throughout the Vietnam war era, and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal. He was supported by his loving wife Carlene and they were stationed in multiple locations domestically and abroad. After being honorably discharged, he and his wife Carlene lived in several places throughout the US. With the birth of his grandchildren, they relocated to DeBary, FL, where he lived the rest of his life comfortable retirement. He enjoyed spending his days working on his lawn, traveling, and spending time with his family.
Raymond is survived by his wife Carlene of 65 years, sons James (dec'd), Richard, Robert, and daughter Susan Smith and husband Brian and two grandsons Cody and Austin Smith. A military funeral at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery will be held on August 25th at 12:30.
