Raymond Francis ElyBeloved Husband, Father, GrandfatherRay Ely of Deltona, Florida, 83, formerly of Princeville, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2016. Ray was born June 11, 1933, in Henry, Illinois, the son of Fred and Christine. He was an employee of the Peoria County Highway department for 25 years retiring in 1993. A proud member of the American Legion and member of Our Lady of the Lakes Church in Deltona. Ray was married to Wanda Ely for 59 years. Ray is survived by his lovey wife Wanda, son, Ed of Hollywood, Florida, Daughter’s Christine Pollard, (Gary) of Foster City, California and Sue Ellen of Port St. Lucie, Florida; grandchildren, Bryan, Marcus and Kyle. His parents; 2 sons, 2 brothers & 2 sisters preceded Ray in death. He will be missed by his only suriving brother, Eugene of Princeville, IL. Services to be held Wednesday the 19th of October. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Akron – Princeville Ambulance, Princeville, IL 61559! Ray will always be remembered as a strong man with a gentle heart! All who knew him appreciated his “sarcasm!”
