Phyllis C Chana's Obituary
Phyllis C. Chana (Scholl) of Orange City, Florida passed away on January 8, 2017. She was born on March 20, 1930 in Dixon, Illinois to Clark Scholl and Ethel Scholl (Palmer). Phyllis is survived by her husband, Howard E. Chana; children, Kurt Chana and Malesa Young (Chana); brother, Irv (Laverne) Scholl; sister, Irene Reynold Scholl; grandchildren, Emily, Kyle and Bryan Young, Kristopher and Kaitlynn Chana; great-grandchild, Emily Chana. She is preceded in death by her brother, Morris Scholl and sister, Gladys Bain (Scholl). In 1958, Phyllis was employed by Mott College in Flint, Michigan as Head of the Home Ec. Department. She had a Bachelor’s degree in Home Economics from Northern College in Dekalb, Illinois and a Master’s degree from Iowa State in Ames, Iowa. Phyllis was a teacher, but also loved being a Homemaker. Funeral Services will be held at John Knox Chapel, Orange City Florida on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 2:00pm.
