Peter J. Muro Jr.'s Obituary
Peter J. Muro Jr., age 82 passed away March 23, 2021. He is the son of the late Peter J. Sr. and Marie Concetta (Riolo) Muro and was also preceded in death by a brother Michael Muro. Peter was born December 16, 1938 in Yonkers, New York. Peter is survived by his wife; Laurie G. Muro. Children; Donna and Kevin Magro, Karen and Bill Taylor, Diana and Anthony Mirra, Kristina and Dave DeBerardinis, Crissie and Joe Genesky, and Kevin and Toni Muro. Sister; Paula Reyes. 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Peter was employed with the United States Postal Service as a rurual letter carrier. Peter served in the United States navy from 1957-1961. He also was a volunteer firefighter with the Hughsonville fire department where he also served as fire chief and commissioner. Peter was also a Mason and a member of The Knights of Columbus. He loved his community and served it well. Services for Peter will be held at a later date.
