Pauline Holmes' Obituary
Pauline Holmes, 75, of Deland, Florida passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2013. She was born to the late Russell and Ida Bentley on June 1, 1938, in Phelps, Kentucky. She married Robert "Bob" Holmes and he survives his beloved wife.
The loving mother of three, Pauline is survived by her daughter, Betty Puckett, of Lake Mary, Florida and son, Keith Holmes, of Fort Wayne, Indiana along with her son in law, Gary Puckett, and daughter in law, Cheryl Holmes. Her son, Robert "Rob" Holmes preceded her in death.The dear grandmother to Carrie Fleishman and Curt Puckett and great grandmother to Christian and Cayden Murray. Pauline's surviving siblings are Herman Bentley, Clifford Bentley, Golda Davis, Cora Sue Allen, Phyllis Murphy, Christine Keen, Betty Lou Spence and sister in law, Barbara East.Pauline dearly loved her family, friends and church. A Sunday School teacher, for many years, an active Member of her Church in Ohio and Florida; she was cherished by her family and friends. She loved a rousing game of rummy, baking pies and playing scrabble. But perhaps her favorite pasttime was enjoying her role as "Mommaw". Family, friends and others whose lives Pauline touched are invited to the United Pentecostal Church of Deland at 1640 E. Voorhis Avenue, Deland, Florida on Monday, July 15, 2013. 9 am to 10 am Viewing with a 10 am Service. To reminisce, grieve, support and celebrate Pauline's life. Graveside service will be held at Florida National Cemetery.
