Pauline F. Cotten's Obituary
Pauline Foisy Cotten, age 76, passed away on May 16, 2013, surrounded by family. Pauline was born on January 31, 1937, to Aldei J. and Lucille B. Foisy. She grew up in Miami, Florida, along with four sisters. Pauline married Marion “Mick” Cotten on June 16, 1956. Together they raised four children and volunteered with numerous organizations during Mick’s 26-year Marine Corps career. After retiring in Deltona, Florida, she was very active in her community and church. She held numerous leadership positions and was an active member of the Council of Catholic Women, Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, Red Hat Society, and Deltona Women’s Club as well as a Lector and Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion at Our Lady of The Lakes Catholic Church. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Pauline is survived by her loving husband Maj. Marion “Mick” Cotten, USMC (Ret); children Kathleen Cotten Bour (John) of Manassas, VA, Michelle Cotten Woods (Michael) of Centreville, VA, Christopher I. Cotten of Deltona, and Cynthia Cotten Richards (Joel) of Oakton, VA; and seven grandchildren, James P. Bour, Caitlin M. Woods, Lauren J. Bour, Justin M. Woods, Gabrielle M. Woods, Allison J. Richards, and Seth A. Richards; as well as her four sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends and relatives are invited to call at Baldauff Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 1233 Saxon Blvd., Orange City, Florida, on Sunday, May 19, 2013, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm with a Rosary at 7 pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, May 20 at 10 am at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, 1310 Maximilian Street, Deltona, FL 32725. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to: Race for Hope Washington DC, Team “Cottens 4 A Cure”. Donations for the team will be accepted through the Fall.
