Paul Ray Hancock's Obituary
Paul Ray Hancock, age 90, passed into his eternal rest peacefully on December 25, 2025 at Certus Assisting living facility in Orange City, Florida.
Paul was born on December 5, 1935, in Richfield, Ohio. He moved to Sarasota, Florida with his parents in 1946 and lived there until he joined the Marines in 1956. In 1958 he was honorably discharged from military service, after his discharge he was employed by NCR Corporation for 37 years, finally retiring in 1996. Paul also dedicated his time to volunteering, which he did for 3 years with hospice and 14 years with Council on Aging (Meals on Wheels).
Paul is survived by his daughter, Lori DeArmas and husband, Ray DeArmas; his son, Joe Hancock; sister-in law, Frances; grandchildren, Nicole, Todd, Kayli, Brandon, Amber and Joseph; ten (10) great-grandchildren; my step-daughter, Laura Crawford and husband, Mike Crawford; their daughter, Megan; step-son Gregory and his children, Andrew and Haley; as well as extended family and friends.
Paul is preceded in death by his wife, Dot Hancock; his parents, Hazel and Harold Hancock; brother, Edward Hancock; and granddaughter, Jennifer.
Paul's passing leaves a heartbreaking void in the lives of his family and loved ones—one so profound that words cannot fully convey the depth of their loss. Paul will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his legacy of service, devotion to family, and quiet strength will live on in the hearts of his children, grandchildren, Great-grandchildren and all whose lives he touched.
