Paul Eugene Purvis' Obituary
Paul E Purvis, 70 of Orange City, formerly of Atlanta, GA died Monday, April 16. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 19 from 5:30 to 6:30 followed by a Memorial Service at 6:30 officiated by Rev. Johnny Long, held at Baldauff Funeral Home, 1233 Saxon Blvd, Orange City.
Paul was born in Atlanta, GA on June 4, 1941. He graduated from Northside High School, Atlanta, attended Young Harris College, Mercer Univ, and Ga State. He served with the US Navy as Petty Officer 2nd Class. He owned Tire Barns of Fl and later co-owned Purvis Construction in Mentone, AL. He retired
with Macy's as a Service Technician in 2008. He enjoyed his Cushman motorcycles fishing and hunting, and Target Shooting. His greatest joy was of the recent birth of his great grand-daughter Story Ann.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Gail Young Purvis, sons Gregory Paul Purvis and Bradley Darren Purvis, both of Rainsville, AL; grandson/son Britton Paul Purvis and his wife Elisha and their daughter Story Ann of Deland, FL, brothers James Gilbert Purvis of Adairsville, GA, Frank Leonard Purvis and his wife Lynda Lee Purvis of Americus, GA, sister-in-law Joy D Shirley and her husband David of Newnan, GA, his brother-in-law T Harris Young and his wife Marilyn of Denver, CO, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
