Dear Aunt Mary, Joan, Mark, Paul, Rita and Owen:
I was sorry to hear of your loss. Uncle Pat was a great role model. He was such a humble unassuming man. He always had a knack for making everyone feel special.
It was my great fortune to spend several summers assisting him when he worked at St. Luke's. My memory of him whistling and singing every day was inspiring.
As I read the obituary it struck me that we leave no greater legacy on this earth than the family we leave behind. He was very proud of all of you.
I feel the longevity he was granted spoke volumes to the contentment, commitment and love he and Aunt Mary had for each other. Of course, I know Uncle Pat would agree and affirm how could you not love someone like Aunt Mary!!
I'm very sorry that I will miss the celebration of Patrick Francis Kennedy's life but know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers. No doubt on this March 17th I will be certain to raise one in honor of my Uncle Pat.
