Nancy J Ray's Obituary
Nancy Jane Ray was born on April 20, 1939 in Franklin, North Carolina to the parents of Andrew and Grace Ray. Nancy moved to Los Angeles, CA in her early years. She later moved to Oakland, CA. She worked for the State of California until her retirement. After retirement, she re-located to Deltona, FL.
Nancy enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune, and she was an avid reader. She worked hard and played hard, and relished spending time with family and friends.
Nancy departed life on November 29, 2022, to join loved ones who preceded her in death, which includes her parents, four brothers, Milton, Frank, Mark, and Weldon, and two sisters, Annie Jean and Edith.
Nancy will truly be missed and always in our hearts. She leaves a wealth of memories to be cherished by her devoted children, son, Marcus Miles of Oakland, CA, and daughter Jacqueline Lee of Deltona, FL; brother, Edward W. Ray, Sr. (Jeanette) of Ft. Washington, MD; grandchildren, David Miles, Amber Miles and Niko Osagie; great-grandchild, Aniwonsey; nephews, nieces, and cousins, Addie Bell and Patricia Ray, and a host of relatives and friends.
