Melvin Stanley Sponer 74, of Deland passed away on June the 14th, 2015. He was born on June the 22nd, 1940 to Wanda and Melvin Sponer in Detroit, Michigan. Melvin is survived by his children, Curtis Sponer, Lisa Hippelheuser, Gregory Sponer, Christopher Sponer, and Joanna Sponer; Brothers, Dennis Sponer, and Richard Sponer; Sister Patricia Paholsky; Nine Grandchildren and four Great-Grandchildren. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and loved playing with his grandchildren.
