Mary W. Miller's Obituary
Mary Walker Miller, 93, went to be with the Lord on November 28, 2013, at the Renaissance Assisted Living Facility in Sanford. She was born to parents Fred and Amparo Walker on September 16, 1920, in Key West, FL. She lived in Miami for many years and finally moved to Central Florida. She attended Central Baptist Church in Sanford and was a member of the Faith Sunday School Class. As a young woman, she drove a yellow school bus for Dade County Department of Transportation for 30 years.
She loved her family, playing games, traveling, and gardening; and she played in the Central Baptist Church Kitchen Band.
She is known for her beautiful smile and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her son Robert L. Miller Jr. (Linda); daughter Darlene Miller; grandchildren Robert B. Miller (Lori) and Sondra Bruce (Shawn); three great grandchildren: Kaitlin Miller, Amanda Miller, and Abbie Bruce; and niece Christy Matthews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert L. Miller, Sr.; sister Nora Matthews; brothers Joey Walker and Fred Walker; and special companion Julius Mayer.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, December 9, 2013, at Baldauff Family Funeral Home, 1233 Saxon Blvd., Orange City, FL 32763 with Pastor Shawn Bruce officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the renovation fund at Central Baptist Church, 3101 West State Road 46, Sanford, FL 32771.
