Mary 'Jane' Jane Kirschner's Obituary
Mary Jane Connell Kirschner, 68 of Deltona, Florida passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2010 after a courageous battle with Lung Cancer. Jane was born on August 21, 1941 to Maurice and Regina Connell in Pleasantville, New Jersey. Jane was raised in Philadelphia, PA. She and her family moved to Deltona, Florida on August 21, 1982. Jane attended St. Hubert's High School in Philadelphia, PA. She was employed with Sears, Smithcline & French before getting married to John Snellbaker on February 2, 1963. Jane was preceeded in death by her parents Maurice and Regina Connell as well as her brothers Thomas, Maurice, Edward and Joseph Connell along her loving son James Snellbaker who lost his own battle with cancer in July of 2004. Jane is survived by her daughter Lori Corcoran, husband Steve Corcoran of Tampa, Florida; their sons Ross and Nicholas Corcoran, son John Snellbaker and his wife Gina Snellbaker of Jasper, Georgia and son Michael Snellbaker of Deltona, Florida. Jane very happily spent the last 6 years with her "Best Friend" & fiance' Peter Frost; who took care of Jane through her illness. The family is forever grateful for the tender care and grace he gave to their Mom. Jane is also survived by her sister-in-law Kathy Connell and her cousin Mary Lou Harm and husband John Harm all of Pennsylvania. Jane was employed while living in Deltona with Publix Supermarkets for over 19 years before retiring in 2003 to care for her son James. The family will be holding a private memorial on Saturday, April 17th at their home in Deltona. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to Hospice of Volusia/Flager Care Center. Their website is www.hovf.org.
