Marlis Samples, passed away peacefully, on April 7, 2026 in Orange City, Florida at the age of 91. Born in Backnang, Germany in 1934, Marlis carried with her a rich heritage and a resilient spirit that shaped the life she built and the family she cherished.
A devoted and beloved mother to Dwayne, Fred and Carol, Marlis was the heart, head, and spine of her household. Her dedication and strength provided a foundation upon which her family thrived. Her presence brought comfort, her words brought clarity, and her love was a constant source of strength for those around her.
Marlis was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Preston Samples; sons, Dwayne Samples and Fred Samples. She is Survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Carol & Howard Bain; grandchildren, Tyler & Rebecca; siblings, Margot Wolf, Selma Jamieson, Helga Francis, Roland Brecht, Rosemary Armstrong, and Lother Brecht.
Marlis will be remembered for her enduring dedication to her family, and the deep, lasting impact she made on all who knew her.
