Marilynn I Blair Strong, 90, of Eustis, Florida passed away on March 11, 2025.
She was born on March 28, 1934 in Buffalo, New York to Fred “Bud” Blair and I. Inez Blair.
Marilynn is preceded in death by her Parents, Fred “Bud” and I. Inez, Daughter Susan C. (Fleischman) Morningstar, Daughter Sandra L. Fleischman, Sister Cheryl Weissman, and Brother F. Gene Blair.
She is survived by her Husband David H. Strong, Daughter Karen Mogge (Robert) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Son James (Chad) Fleischman of West Valley, New York, Brother Ronald Blair of Ridgeway, Pennsylvania, and five Grandchildren and five Great-Grandchildren.
Marilynn Strong was an amazing person. She graduated from high school at the age of 16 and pursued a college education majoring in math before shifting her focus to raising a family. An amazing mathematician, she worked as a bookkeeper and eventually became a bank manager.
Marilynn came from a racing family and racing was one of her many passions throughout her life. Her father designed engines for racing boats, passing those skills through the family and onto Marilynn’s son who still designs racing engines for race cars. She raced go carts for several years, becoming the “Powder Puff” champion of the track.
Another one of her passions was bowling, belonging to weekly leagues throughout her life. She bowled several elusive 300 games, the last one just a few years ago.
She was loved by all. Many of the members of the TQ racing community looked at her as their Mom. She was always available to help in any way she could, even if it was just to listen to what was on their minds.
But primarily, she was a wonderful mother. She raised her four children with love. She supported their interests and encouraged them to achieve whatever they reached for. She accepted them for exactly who they were and valued them for their differences. She will be greatly missed.
A service will be held at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at 11:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations made in Marilynn's honor, to the Patriot Guard Riders. Donations can be made through Ron Cleary, 29900 Coconut Ave, Eustis, Fl 32736, or by calling 352-978-1441.
