Marie Rose Silvia's Obituary
Marie R. Silvia, 77, of Deltona, FL, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2011. She was born on August 28, 1933 in New Bedford, MA to parents Manuel and Aurore Rose. Marie moved to the local area from New Bedford, Easter, 1967. Mrs. Silvia was a loyal and faithful member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church since the first mass on March 1, 1971. She was a member of Deltona Civic Association, the New England Club and she held a Realtors license in the state of Florida. Her family will best remember her as an avid Red Sox fan and was truly devoted to her children and family. She is preceded in death by both of her parents and her loving husband of 21 years, Manuel “Manny” Silvia in 1980. Marie is survived by her son, Manuel “Manny” Silvia, Jr. (Kitty); daughter, Maria Costa; sister, Pricilla Byron; grandchildren, Tyler Silvia, Trace Silvia, Tanner Silvia, Madison Costa and Haley Costa. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, sister and “Gram”. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Monday, August 29, 2011 at the Baldauff Funeral Home Small Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 am, Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, 1310 Maximillian St., Deltona, FL with Father Frank Cerio officiating. Interment will follow at Deltona Memorial Gardens in Orange City, FL.
