Maria Teresa Ramos' Obituary
Maria “Mary Poppins” Ramos, 68, of Deltona, FL passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2011. She was born on June 24, 1943 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico to parents Jose and Isabel Ramos. Maria worked as a LPN in the medical field and was known as the caregiver of the family. Ms. Ramos was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She is best described as a social butterfly and you could always find her in the middle of any party. She loved to cook, entertain and make jokes. Maria will always be remembered as a loving mother and sister. She is preceded in death by both of her parents and sister, Carmen Alonso (2011) and is survived by her daughter, Johana Escobar (Floyd); sister, Gladys Miranda; brother, Miguel Pagan and grandson, Austin Jones. A funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 210 Howland Blvd., Deltona, FL 32738 with President Francisco L. Gerena, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. service time at the church. Entombment will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 8, 2011 at Rose Hills Memorial Park, 101 Mill Street, Putnam Valley, NY 10579.
