Maria A. Murphy of Deltona passed away on July 20, 2021. She was born June 15, 1933
in San German, Puerto Rico to Ramon Tirado Diaz and Rogelia Casiano de Tirado.
Maria is preceded in death by her husband Delfin Murphy and her parents. She is survived by
her children Lillian Hyland, Alice Flores, Delfin Murphy Jr., Nelson Murphy, and Patricia Murphy;
sisters Julia Tirado, and Lydia M. Tirado.
Maria was employed by Mary Immaculate Hospital where she started a Union and became
Union delegate. She was an accomplished cook, loved to be in the kitchen, worked jigsaw puzzles
as well as word puzzles.
