Marguerite 'Peg' Fleming's Obituary
Marguerite “Peg” A. Fleming, 79, of Debary FL, passed away on Friday January 23rd, 2015. Peg was born in Boston, raised her family in Norfolk and retired to Cape Cod before moving to Debary in 2005. Peg attended Dedham High School and Children’s Hospital School of Nursing and worked as an RN for 45 years. Peg has been an active member of the Catholic Church and served as a religious education teacher, Eucharistic Minister and Parish Nurse among other ministries. In 2003 Peg was awarded the 36th Annual Marian Medal for her dedicated service to the church by the Diocese of Fall River. Peg always enjoyed spending time with her family, combing beaches for sea glass, travel, reading and most of all, caring for others. Peg is predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Kenneth E. Fleming, her youngest child Christopher Niland Fleming and a brother, Peter J. Niland. She is survived by her daughters, Karen Ianacone and Sandra(Brian) Butler and her son Kenneth E. Fleming, Jr. as well as her six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Debary on Friday, January 30th at 10AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parish Nurse Ministry at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 22 Dogwood Tr. Debary, FL 32713.
