Margaret Ann Maggio's Obituary
Margaret Ann “Peggy” Maggio, 84 of DeLand passed away on October 15, 2023. She was born on January 13, 1939, in Somerville, MA. Peggy is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, Ralph Maggio; daughters, Ann Fick and husband Steven, Theresa McComb and husband Casey, and son Bill Maggio; brothers, Joey Vasconcellos, Tony Vasconcellos and Chuck Vasconcellos; sisters, Joanne Graziano and Florence Vasconcellos; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Vasconcellos and brother, Jimmy Vasconcellos.
Peggy was a member of the Sons of Italy and enjoyed spending time championing a game of Rummikub with Ralph, playing cards and bingo with her friends at Blue Palms (Good Samaritan Senior Living). She also shared her love of making homemade raviolis with her daughters and granddaughters, and she was known to cut a rug on the dance floor.
To pay tribute to her vibrant spirit, a Visitation will be held 11:00am-1:00pm, Tuesday, October 24, 2023, with a 1:00pm Funeral Service at Baldauff Family Funeral Home, 1233 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, FL 32763. Immediately following will be a graveside service at nearby Deltona Memorial Gardens, 1295 Saxon Blvd, Orange City.
Peggy’s favorite color was purple. She requested guests honor her by wearing bright colors to the service to showcase the colorful life she led.
