Luella Ann Mannuzza's Obituary
Luella Ann Reiser Mannuzza joined her husband, Edward James Benjamin Mannuzza, Sr. in paradise on Friday, June 6, 2014. Born in New Jersey, Luella was the middle child of John and June Reiser. She was proud to be known as “a Jersey girl”. She is remembered as loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. She attended church at All Saints Episcopal Church in Enterprise, Florida. One of her many nephews said that the one thing that will stand true in his memory was her infectious laugh. She was always kind hearted and always placed others needs before her own. Luella was a strong woman, who didn’t know it. She was a bladder cancer survivor.
Luella enjoyed doing the little things. She liked to have family and friends visit. She enjoyed having coffee with her girlfriends. She especially loved to talk on the phone and sometimes would do so for hours. She enjoyed watching scary movies and spending time reading.
Luella took pride in being a homemaker. Her house was always so neat and tidy and she enjoyed keeping things just so even while raising 3 children. She was the perfect hostess and always offered to open up her home to anyone who was coming to visit the area. When her mother, June, became ill, Luella brought her home to live with her and took loving care of her mother until her last moments.
Luella was a loving, loyal supporter of her husband of 44 years, Edward Sr. She always called Edward Sr. her soul mate and missed him greatly when he passed before her. When he became ill, she understand the importance of keeping the family going and worked as a caregiver for other families outside the home.
Luella loved her husband, children and grandchildren with all her heart. Her family was truly her world. She often said her kids were her life and this was obvious in the sacrifices she continually made for her children and grandchildren. She was an amazing example as to what a mother really is.
Luella is survived by two brothers, John Reiser from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Mark Reiser, from Longwood, Florida. She is also survived by her 3 children, Edward Mannuzza, Jr., from DeBary, Florida; John Mannuzza; and June Stivers, both from Deltona, Florida, and 8 grandchildren: Andrea Short, of Greenback, Tennessee; Christopher Mannuzza and Vincent Mannuzza, of DeBary, Florida; Gabriella Mannuzza, Emily Mannuzza, Brianna Mannuzza, Luella Stivers, and Olivia Stivers, all of Deltona, Florida. Services are to be held on Sunday, June 29th, 2014, at 3:00 pm at All Saints Episcopal Church. The family requests that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
