Lola Cook Schneider's Obituary
Lola Cook Schneider, passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 in Deltona Florida at the age of 97. She was the last surviving child of Fred and Elizabeth Cook, and was born in Friendship New York on April 3, 1921. She was raised in Bradford, Pennsylvania and graduated from Bradford High School in 1939. In 1942 she married Lieutenant John Thomas who lost his life in the South Pacific in 1944. In 1947 she married William M. Schneider, who passed away in 1988. She is survived by three children; Jon (Nancy) Schneider of Needham, Massachusetts, Mary Eggleston of Bessemer City, North Carolina, and William J. Schneider of Deltona, Florida. Five Grandchildren; Julie, Greg, Kerry, David and Lori. Eight great grandchildren; Ellie, Meg, Kenna, Avery, Colby, Taylor, Cody and Alexis and one great, great grandson, Nash. She was employed as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone Company for many years. She retired as Executive Secretary of the McKean County Cardiac Committee in 1984 and moved to Florida with her husband. Lola was a lifetime member of the Council of Catholic Women and performed blood pressure screenings at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church for seventeen years. In addition, she was a member of the Empire Club of Deltona and had served as a past president of that organization. A visitation will be held on Monday, July 2, 2018, from 10am-12pm with a 12pm Funeral Service at Baldauff Family Funeral Home, 1233 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, Fl. Entombment at Deltona Memorial Gardens.
