She was "Grandma the Great", the matriarch of our family, always there with an open heart and unconditional love for each and every one of us. She was the glue that bound her family together. With her quick wit and open mind, she was a friend to all. She will be deeply missed by many. She loved her chocolates and would sometimes even share a piece or two, but she would keep them hidden too. She also loved Rodeo Whip ice cream cones.
She loved her games of dominos with family and friends. If you played something she wanted to play she would slap your hand. One of her proudest moments was passing her state exam to enter high school. She was the first student in Jo Daviess County, IL to receive a perfect A+ score. She passed on to her eternal life peacefully with her family by her side. A celebration of life will be held 10:30am with a 11:00am Service, Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at Orange City United Methodist Church, 396 E. University Avenue, Orange City, Fl 32763. A Luncheon to follow in the Church Fellowship Hall.
