Lloyd A Hanson's Obituary
Lloyd A. Hanson, son of the late Duyson and Harleese Brown, was born in Kingston, Jamaica on August 27, 1944. Upon the end of his illness he was called from labor on Tuesday February 17, 2015. Lloyd was affectionaly known as Bas.
He left Jamaica at the age of 18 and moved to New York. There he was employed with the Jewish Brooklyn hospital, in the dietary department. Lloyd loved to play dominos and was faithful member of the “Dominos” club.
After retirement, from the Jewish Brooklyn hospital, he relocated to Deltona, Fl in 2004 to be closer to his family. He joined the Deltona community center and continued with his “dominos” passion. At that time, he traveled extensively. He and his friends had afternoon sessions of dominos.
He joined New Hope Baptist Church in 2004, and was baptized in 2005, under the leadership of Pastor William L. Bradley Jr. He was a member of Family unit 4 and participated actively in the events. He attended regularly until his health failed.
Lloyd leaves to cherish his memories, his 3 sisters Jennifer Cover, Deltona, FL, Melva Howe, Savannah, GA, Joyce Edney, 3 nieces, 2 nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.
He left behind a legacy of enjoyable times and fond memories.
