Lenore Anne O'Connell's Obituary
Lenore "Nona" O’Connell, loving wife, mother, grandmother, artist, and friend, passed away surrounded by the love of her family on May 7, 2026 in Edgewater, Florida at the age 72. Born in Manhasset, NY, on August 21, 1953, Nona later made her homes in Montauk, NY and Edgewater, FL where she touched countless lives with her warmth, creativity, and kindness.
A retired graphic designer, Nona was a gifted artist whose talents shone especially through her beautiful watercolor paintings and knitting. She found joy in creating and sharing her work with those she loved. Above all else, she will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother whose generosity, strength, and gentle spirit enriched the lives of everyone around her. Known to her beloved grandchildren as “Grammi Noni"; she filled their lives with warmth, laughter, and unconditional love that we will forever cherish.
Nona is survived by her devoted husband, Brian O’Connell; her loving children, Jeffrey (Nicole), Daniel (Morgan), and Allison (Steve); and her seven cherished grandchildren: Adelyn, Lila, Sheamus, Katherine, Claire, Elizabeth, and Andie. She is also survived by her brothers, Eugene and Steven Woods.
A funeral Mass will be held on May 19th at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nona’s memory to the American Cancer Society in her name
