Katrina Rose Hester's Obituary
Born to Victor and Mary Iwaniw on July 6, 1976, it is with great sadness, after her very long and courageous battle, we share that Katrina Rose Hester,48, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2024. She was a loving daughter, sister, friend, mom who will be missed dearly.
She leaves behind a legacy of love to her beautifully blended family; her father, Victor Iwaniw, a mother who loved and raised her, Carol Nocito, her sisters, Christina Briggs (Tim Briggs, Connor Briggs and Emily Briggs), Michelle Fohey Naylor (Morgan Naylor, Penelope Patapow), Heather Colwell Dey (Chris Dey, Dylan Dey), her brothers, Matthew Colwell, Pierce Iwaniw and Jim Fohey, her cousin, Holly Glaspie (Jason Rieb, Brooke Donnely) and the beautiful family she created with Bruce Hester, Paige Hester (Ellie Hester-Ashcraft).
She is preceded by her mother, Mary Iwaniw, her grandparents Peter and Katherine Iwaniw, and Joseph and Rose Cordello.
Katrina loved shopping, going out to eat, cooking and trying new recipes with unique ingredients and she was well known for her delectable desserts that she created often for her family.
For those that knew Katrina well, knows that she loved her family deeply and that she was a pilar of great strength and bravery.
To remember Katrina, a memorial service will be held Saturday November 23, 2024 12:00 PM at the Baldauff Family Funeral Home 1233 Saxon Blvd. Orange City , Florida.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:00 AM until time of service.
In honor of Katrina's memory, friends and family are invited to send flowers or, if preferred, donate to American Diabetes Association in her memory.
