Some people come into your life and you just know you are going to be close friends the first time you meet them. That is how it was the first time I met Kathy. She was quite simply...special. She was full of kindness, thoughtfulness, and an unending sense of humor. She loved to laugh. Her generosity with her words and unending support knew no end...she always knew just the right thing to say. I admired her elegance in every facet of her life...a true lady in every sense of the word. Her smile lit up the room. She loved deeply.
She embraced me as a close friend and she and Ralph embraced our family as part of their own, big extended family. We are forever grateful and honored to have known and loved her. We are all better people in this life because we were touched by the goodness of Kathy.
Where do I begin? How do I put into words the wonderment of this sweet soul who passed? How do I express the joy I experienced when she and her husband Ralph allowed me to accompany her on her final journey? How I was honored to have her as my Step-daughter, the daughter I never had?
