Juanita Cheek Laurine's Obituary
Juanita Cheek Laurine of Mobile, AL, a long time resident of Orange City, FL went to be with the Lord on February 20, 2013. She was born March 11, 1923 in Birmingham, AL to Clarence W. and Luta Brackeen Cheek. While living in Washington, PA she met Lawrence Joseph Laurine whom she married on Aug. 31, 1941. Larry and Juanita celebrated almost 70 years of marriage together. Juanita loved the Lord, her husband, her family, her friends and the church. She is survived by her four children; Larry (Jeanne) Laurine of Orange City, FL; Thomas A. (Sandy) Laurine of Claysville, PA; Karen (Park) McFarlane of Greens burg, PA; and Dale(Ralph) Gudeman of Mobile, AL; sisters Midge Cheek and Twila Daugherty of Camp Hill, PA and Orange City, FL; Patty (Phil) Sheffer of Macungie, PA; a brother, Clarence (Hallie) Cheek of Lavale, MD; Brother in law Robert (Audrey) Laurine of La Plata, MD; 14 Grandchildren, 33 Great Grandchildren; 7 Great Great Grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and many friends. Juanita Laurine was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a brother, Harry F. Cheek, and a grandson, John Gudernan. Visitation will be held at Baldauff Family Funeral Home, 1233 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, FL on February 23 at 1:00 PM, followed by the service at 2:00PM.
